THIS Classic Hit Was The Number One Song Nearly 50 Years Ago. Can You STILL Remember It?

The following video features a classic that was a number one hit nearly fifty years ago. This probably still holds a special place in your heart. Written and produced by Smokey Robinson and Ronald White of The Miracles, My Girl by The Temptations was one of Motown’s greatest hits. This incredible song is on the list of Billboard’s Top 100 songs in history and it has also been featured in a number different movies.

The lead vocalist in this particular song was David Ruffin. Though he was not the usual frontman of the group, Robinson knew that if someone wrote the perfect song for Ruffin, they would have a massive hit on their hands. And they did! The “girl” that this group is singing about is supposedly Claudette Rogers Robinson, Smokey’s then wife and also a fellow member of the Miracles.
