Djalta and Bimms, two western lowland gorillas who were born in captivity were reintroduced in the wild 12 years ago. After all those years, they finally got to meet their human friends from the shelter who took care of them. Even though gorillas are recognized for their strength and intellect, will they be able to remember their long separated human friends?
These gorillas were born and raised at Howletts Wild Animal Park in Kent which was coordinated by Damian Aspinall, an English conservationist. In this video, Damian along with his daughter Tansy travelled into the forest of Gabon, West Africa to find and meet their best gorilla friends. Tansy was a toddler when Djalta and Bimms were raised at the park and they used to play together.
This is the most wonderful reunion story I have ever seen. It’s beautiful. Don’t you think? Let us know in the comments below.
