Due to birth defects and sometimes the neglect of a pregnant mother can result to disabled babies. Most of the times these babies are abandoned. However, this is not the only case for humans, wild animals are also widely known to reject poorly born baby and are inclined to protect only the healthy babies. Why so? It is because wild animals are in constant danger of getting killed by other animals. So they try to focus to protect and raise the ones who have the greater chance to survive and pass on the genes.
This video below also features a rejected baby deer who was born with a birth defect. He is a white-faced fawn who was abandoned by his own mother. This deer, later named Dragon, was fortunately rescued by the owner of local farm.
