Even though there are lots of organizations and individuals are working hard to rescue and rehabilitate abused and street dogs, a lot of percentage of such dogs don’t make it past dog shelter. It is because most of the people buy dogs from pet store rather than adopting them. Due to the trend of treating shelter dogs as ‘damaged’ products, most of shelter dogs in overcrowded shelters get euthanized.
This video below features a short commercial for a campaign from an organization called “Save A Hound”. It shows a shelter dog who is patiently waiting for someone to adopt him from the shelter. He hopefully looks up to the people who pass by his section but gets sad when nobody stops by him. But then, one day a little girl stops at his corner and bends down to see him.
