It is hard enough to take care and discipline one baby, imagine how hard it might be to raise 12 babies at once! This mama duck featured in the video below is leading and protecting her 12 ducklings while making her way to the river through busy human streets. As the river was only the nearest water resource and her ducklings only hatched 24 hrs ago, she needed to get there no matter what. But will she make it through such harsh roads?
Apparently, she is not alone in the journey. When the members of the Saskatoon Police Service bike unit saw mama duck and her 12 ducklings making their way to the South Saskatchewan River, they decided to help them out. They escorted them to the river safe and sound.
