James Corden has been unstoppable lately with his Late Late Show. The Carpool segment he does with various celebrities immediately gets viral. The following video is not from the carpool segment, but it is still pretty amazing. James Corden invited the legendary artist, Cher, for a performance onstage. Little did the audience know there was a twist in her classic!
James joined Cher onstage, dressed up as the singer. They performed a duet of her hit song, “I Got You Babe”. They only twist was that the lyrics were tweaked a little to sound more relevant with today. They used named of social media sites like Tinder and changed words like “babe” into “bae”, which many people do these days. I don’t know how James convinced Cher to change the lyrics to such a hit song—he must be quite persuasive!
